We are pleased to present the playlist #SoundFirstČiurlionis, which allows you to enjoy the world of the exhibition through music.
This YouTube Music playlist has been selected by Rokas Zubovas, pianist and great-grandson of M. K. Čiurlionis.
You can listen to the playlist before your visit as an introduction or after the exhibition to continue the experience.
We hope the music will guide you into the world where Čiurlionis’s paintings and compositions come together.

Message for the Playlist
Piano for Čiurlionis was the instrument of choice. With growing fame and recognition, musicians started adapting Čiurlionis’ works for their instruments, thus expanding opportunities for their colleagues to perform Čiurlionis’ music.
This playlist offers examples of his piano music performed by three pianists, who were extensively recording Čiurlionis piano music as well as examples of adaptations of piano works for sting instruments. The playlist is summarized by the symphonic poem “In the Forest,” the first Lithuanian symphonic work, which is still considered an iconic symbol of Lithuania.
Message to Listeners
Čiurlionis Speaks from the Heart to the Heart.
Transcending nations, cultures, time and space.
I sincerely hope that the voice of Čiurlionis’ Heart will resonates with you for long time.
With regards,
Rokas Zubovas
